There will be significant changes: On the one hand, the University of Bonn has acquired a campus license for employees and students that is payed forward. This means that in the future the use of SPSS will not have to be paid by the users. On the other hand, the distribution of the (new) codes has to be fully remodelled. The respective process has started but has not yet been finished, due to time constrains.
Background
A statewide license could not be agreed upon at the beginning of this year, so, a public call was enacted during the summer break. The campus license for the University of Bonn was a result from this call. Simultaneously, it was decided that the new campus license would be paid for with central funds to avoid individual users sharing the cost. For this reason, the distribution and license and activation procedures are currently being completely revised.
