Zoom enables lectures, seminars, meetings and video and telephone conferences with up to 1000 participants to be held in high quality.

All university members
All university members can use Zoom.
What for?
Video Conferences
No login or software is required to participate in Zoom events.
If you want to create your own meetings, you must first register with your University ID in the Zoom portal of the University of Bonn. Doctoral students and student assistants should use their Student-Uni-ID, even if they also have a Staff-Uni-ID.
The University holds special webinar licences for up to 500 participants and some webinar licences for up to 1000 participants. These licences are primarily intended for curricular courses that exceed the limit of 300 or 500 participants. Webinar licences can be applied for within the scope of availability for a conference or a semester.

FAQs
Your Zoom account has probably been locked for security reasons due to five failed login attempts. The block will be automatically lifted 30 minutes after the last login attempt.

Webinar licences can be applied for within the scope of availability for events that serve university teaching or research, have more than 300 participants, are anchored in the curriculum or are of particular importance for the external image of the university.
If you require a 500 licence, please contact zoom@uni-bonn.de with a brief justification and the name of the university ID to which the webinar is to be linked. Please ensure that you have previously registered once with Zoom using this Uni-ID so that it can be held as a webinar licence for the duration of the current semester. If you need a 1000 licence, please contact the deans of studies in your faculty.
