The user support of the HRZ can be contacted by faculty members through the dedicated support channels, on site support for the faculty is available on a certain schedule.
The ETF finances the expenditures and therefore, realises an administrator role at the HRZ that is integrated into the Admin-Team 'Local-Support'.
This contract is a novelty for all people involved. The cooperation is based on great trust from both sides, which was built in the last years and has advantages for both parties: The ETF does not have to look for dedicated IT staff, rather the IT support is ensured by the specialists at the HRZ. The HRZ already has an existing 'Local-Support'-Team which has qualified personnel who are already supporting the Hertz professorships, and continue to develop concepts for IT operations which ETF can profit from. Direct user support by the HRZ always offers the opportunity to examine the established service and to ensure efficient integration into the decentralised IT structures. The ETF covers the expenses and both parties profit from this collaboration.
