Terms of use for the Uni Bonn App
1. General information (brief description of the service)
The Uni Bonn App provides users with various services of the University of Bonn and the Studierendenwerk Bonn via a central application. These are currently:
- Student ID of the University of Bonn
- Staff ID of the University of Bonn
- Meal plans of the Studierendenwerk Bonn
- Deutschlandsemesterticket
- News
- Collection of links
- bonnFM module
- AStA module
2. Access, group of participants, authorizations
The app can be downloaded free of charge from the Google Playstore and the Apple AppStore. It can be used by anyone without registration. However, some functions are only available after registration. Typical user groups are:
- Students of the University of Bonn
- Employees of the University of Bonn
- Guests of the University of Bonn
3. Obligations of the participants
Users agree to respect the copyright of the data displayed (e.g. images) and not to infringe it through unauthorized dissemination.
Furthermore, the user agrees to refrain from the following actions:
- Attacking the system: you are not permitted to launch attacks on the App's system, including but not limited to denial-of-service attacks or other attempts to disrupt or impair the functionality or security of the App.
- Copying: You are not permitted to copy or reproduce the App or any part of it.
- Decompiling: You are not permitted to reconstruct the source code of the App by reverse engineering, decompiling or other methods.
- Modify: You may not modify, alter or create derivative works of the App or any part thereof.
- Distribute: You may not distribute, sell, rent, lease or otherwise make available the App or modified versions thereof.
4. Disclaimer
The Uni Bonn App is an official mobile application software of the University of Bonn. Users agree to protect their access from unauthorized persons. The University of Bonn points out at this stage that the password may not be passed on. Users are liable for any unauthorized use of their account made possible by their conduct, insofar as they are at fault.
The use of the app is at the user's own risk. The University of Bonn is not liable for the accuracy and completeness of the data provided or for any disadvantages suffered by the user as a result of incorrect information.
5. Service agreement, warranty, liability
Publicly available information is compiled from the respective sources and presented to the user in an interface. Non-publicly available information is only available to the respective user after prior registration and corresponding authorization.
The aim is to make the application software available 24/7. In the event of faults in the technical equipment, every effort is made to rectify these within the existing technical and operational possibilities. The server-operated facility cannot be held liable for technical faults.
The app may be temporarily or permanently discontinued at any time. The University of Bonn does not guarantee the availability of the service.

8. Final provisions
The University of Bonn is entitled to amend these Terms of Use if this is necessary due to further development of the platform, in the event of legal changes or in the event of an adaptation of the functionality offered.
By downloading the app, users declare that they have read these terms of use and accept them without restriction or reservation.
